When are Retirement Benefits payable under the Plan?
The Shops Plan provides the following types of benefits:
Normal Retirement Benefits are payable if you work until your Normal Retirement Date and start your benefits at that time. [Section 4.2]
Late Retirement Benefits are payable if you work beyond your Normal Retirement Date. [Section 4.3]
Early Retirement Benefits are payable if you start your benefits after reaching age 55 and before your Normal Retirement Date. [Section 4.4]
Vested Deferred Retirement Benefits are payable if you stop working after becoming vested and retire at a later date. [Section 4.6]
Supplemental Retirement Benefits are payable at Normal Retirement Date for credit you earn after you start receiving Early Retirement Benefits. [Section 4.7]
Post-Normal Retirement Benefits are payable after Normal Retirement Date for credit you earn after you start receiving Benefits. [Section 4.11]
Disability Retirement Benefits are payable when you become totally and permanently disabled under Social Security, and if you meet certain conditions. [Section 4.5]
Death Benefits are payable to your surviving spouse or other Designated Beneficiary if you die before you begin receiving retirement benefits. [Section 4.8]
